Alana
/ə.ˈlæn.ə/

Most authorities trace Alan to a Brythonic root meaning “rock” or to the Gaelic alën meaning “handsome” or “bright.” A second tradition derives the name from the Hawaiian alana, meaning “offering” or “award,” and it is in active use in Polynesian
families.
